Do you shun invitations
The devil has had approximately 6,000 years in which to learn the best method to tempt the hearts of men away from God.
Through a study of Satan's methods, much can be learned of the manner and means one must use to avoid his snares.
Failing in his other attempts to draw the hearts of men away from God, the devil will try to make sin appear as a thing very desirable.
Many people worship God today. They go to church, sing the hymns, listen to the minister pray, go through the form of pious worship; but they have no conviction for sin. They have performed a religious duty and thereby eased their conscience and shaken off their fears of an angry God. They feel self-sufficient. Their duty, they think, is to mankind
Not by works of righteousness which we have done,
The Bible says But as the days of Noe were,so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before. the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away, much of the religious world no longer preaches that divorce and remarriage is a transgression of God's law, they do not teach that Christian living is a separation from the lusts and sins of the world. .
The cocktail bar has replaced the family altar in many homes. instead of Bible reading and prayer night and morning with the children that they might be taught the ways of righteousness, television teaches the children the maxims and immorality of the world.
What has this world become, even Holiness is almost a forgotten virtue, for the nations that forget God will forget Him at the price of eternal damnation.
